Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: October 5, 2026
StageLook wants everyone to be able to use the store, including people who rely on screen readers, screen magnification, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse. This page explains what we do, where we know the store still falls short, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
The standard we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as our target. This statement describes our approach and current status. It is not a claim that every page fully meets that standard, and we have not commissioned an independent audit.
What we do
- Pages use headings in a logical order, with one main heading per page, so screen reader users can scan and jump between sections.
- The store is built on Shopify's Dawn theme, which is designed so that menus, buttons, links, filters and the cart can be used with a keyboard.
- Product images have a text alternative. Where a brand has not written its own description for a photo, we use the product name so the image is never announced without a label.
- Buying guides use real lists, tables and headings rather than images of text.
- Layouts adapt to small screens and to browser zoom.
How we check
We run automated accessibility audits with Google Lighthouse on the main page types: the home page, category pages and product pages. Automated tools only catch some problems, so we also review pages by hand when we change the design, and we rely on feedback from customers.
Known limitations
- Product information from brands. Product descriptions and photos come from the brands that sell through StageLook. Some descriptions may be long, unstructured or missing details such as alt text written specifically for each photo.
- Checkout. Payment and checkout run on Shopify's own pages, which we do not control directly.
- Third-party tools. Some features, such as Shop Pay and other payment wallets, are provided by other companies.
- New content. When we add products or change the store, a problem may appear before we find and fix it.
If something doesn't work for you
Email us at support@stagelook.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, or use our contact form. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you know it, the browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within two business days.
If any part of the store or checkout is a barrier, contact us and we will help you find product information or complete your order another way, at the same prices.
We do not use an accessibility overlay or toolbar. Fixes are made in the store itself.
